4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following limited situations:

  • With trusted service providers: OpenAI (AI processing), Stripe (payments), Supabase (real-time features), Cloudinary (image processing), Clerk (authentication), Google Analytics (website analytics), and Google Ads (marketing analytics)
  • With OpenAI for AI conversation processing and character generation (data may be used for model improvement in accordance with OpenAI's policies)
  • To comply with legal requirements, court orders, or to protect our rights and safety
  • Anonymized and aggregated data for analytics and research purposes
  • With your explicit consent or at your direction
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or business transfer

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data according to the following schedule: Account data for 3-5 years after last use, conversation history for service improvement purposes, payment records for 7 years (legal requirement), and marketing data for up to 2 years. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

Google Analytics data is retained for 26 months by default. Google Ads conversion data is retained according to Google's data retention policies.

We use OpenAI's services to power our AI companions. Your conversations may be processed by OpenAI's systems and could potentially be used to improve AI models, subject to OpenAI's data usage policies.

We implement data anonymization techniques where possible, but complete anonymization of conversational data may not always be technically feasible while maintaining service quality.

If you prefer that your data not be used for AI model training, please contact us. Note that this may affect the quality of your AI interactions.

13. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your residence, including the United States, where our service providers (OpenAI, Stripe, Supabase) operate.

We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses and adequacy decisions where applicable.
